Sobre o livro

The book is set on the remote island of Masquapaug where 15-year-old Anequs discovers a dragon's egg and forms a bond with the hatchling. Despite the joy of her people, the Anglish conquerors have different plans for the dragon's upbringing, leading Anequs to enroll in an Anglish dragon school on the mainland. Facing social and academic challenges, Anequs is determined to learn and help her dragon, while refusing to conform to the expectations placed upon her. As Anequs and her dragon come of age and power, they realize the world needs change, and they may be the ones to bring it.
